The device for adjusting the optical axis of a headlight of vehicle has a headlight which is rotatably or swivellably attached to a mounting frame permanently connected to the vehicle body and is coupled on the effective side to a sliding block which can be actuated by a motor. The optical axis of the headlight can be adjusted to correspond to the inclination of the vehicle body by driving the motor.
