In a door leaf consisting of a frame, a core arranged in between and of two facing panels mounted on the outside, the core consists, according to the invention, of profile pieces which are connected with longitudinal edges and/or longitudinal faces to the facing panels. The profile pieces can be cut to length from prefabricated semi-finished profiles without waste. It is possible to adjust the core to various dimensions of the door leaf transversely with respect to the longitudinal extent of the profile pieces by correspondingly selecting the distance between the profile pieces, either slots remaining between the profile pieces or the latter overlapping one another by different amounts or interlocking. <IMAGE>
