Benzoylphenylthioureas

Novel substituted N-benzoyl-N'-(2-pyridyloxyphenyl)thioureas of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 and R2 independently of one another denote hydrogen, methyl or halogen, R3 denotes methyl or halogen, R4 denotes the radical -CHF2 or an ethyl radical substituted by 1 to 5 halogen atoms and n denotes 0, 1 or 2; where the radical <IMAGE> is located in the 3- or 4-position on the phenyl ring and the radical -(R3)n can correspondingly occupy only the 3-, 4- or 5-positions on the phenyl ring; a process for the preparation of these compounds and agents containing them for use in combating pests, in particular for combating insects which infest plants and animals. The novel compounds have especially high larvicidal activity against phytotoxic insects.
