Mixtures of sterically hindered phenols which contain the components (a) and (b) in such a ratio that the point of crystallisation is below 10 DEG C and the component (a) has the formula <IMAGE> and the component (b) the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 represents hydrogen, methyl or tert.-butyl, R2 radicals independently of one another represent hydrogen or tert.-butyl, R3 represents hydrogen, methyl or tert.-butyl, are particularly suitable for use as stabilisers in fuels, in particular in aviation gasoline.
