A spinning machine for chemical fibres, having a plurality of winding heads (6) which are designed as sound-insulated boxes for noise reduction, is described. A flexible curtain (15) consisting of bar members engaging in one another in an articulated manner is horizontally movable between the end face of each winding device (6) and the longitudinal side between two adjacent winding devices (6, 6'), in such a way that the servicing side is exposed when the curtain (15) is located on the common longitudinal side between two winding devices (6, 6'). A concealment of other components of the winding device (6) which are important for the servicing is thereby avoided, and in addition noise shielding relative to the adjacent winding device is achieved during the bobbin change and other servicing operations. <IMAGE>
