Device characterised in that it consists essentially of a programmable robot 1, connected to a keyboard 2 for preselection of sizes, simultaneously controlling a device 3 for detection and wedging (readjustment) of sizes, with a movable carriage 4, and a gear motor 5 with electrobrake and torque limiter simultaneously driving, in synchronism, by means of a transmission shaft 6, bevel gears 7, gear trains, belts, chains, or the like, and intermediate shafts 8, the movable carriage 4 of the device 3 for detecting and wedging (readjustment) and devices for adjustment of position of the gluing noses 9, of the waist template 10 and of the support 11, for adjustment of the spacing of the gluing template 12, a clutch 13 advantageously being provided on the drive shaft 8 of this device, and for adjustment of the gluing length. <IMAGE>
