For the secure retention against axial forces of plastic pipe-collar connections, a plurality of profiled clamping elements, of V-shaped cross-section, are provided in a combined sealing and thrust-protecting ring at short circumferential distances, the diverging limbs of which clamping elements open towards the sealing section of the combined sealing and thrust-protecting ring. The radially outer limb is of rigid construction and the radially inner limb is flexible. The latter has a tooth system for engaging on the external circumference of the inner pipe.
