In a prefabricated connecting sleeve for plastic-insulated, screened heavy-current cables, the plug sleeve (6) of a conductor plug connection is embedded centrally in the elastic insulating body (2). The plug-in contact element (12) which is connected to the conductor (11) of the heavy-current cable (10) consists of a compression sleeve whose surface has longitudinal or lateral grooves (17) before compression, and is compressed into a round or polygonal shape.
