<p>Apparatus for supporting a coater blade (7) for use in paper forming in which the blade (7) is located against a blade support (6) by clamping means (3).</p><p>In order to improve the coating performance, the support apparatus of the invention is provided with a profile support (10) which engages the coater blade and whose position of engagement with the blade is adjustable in a direction tangential tothe plane of the blade. Conveniently, the profile support comprises a plate-like memberwhich is clamped adjacent one edge leaving the other edge projecting and co-operating with the coater blade. The adjustment is effected by screws (11) which co-operate with the profile support. Aspring (12) acts in opposition to the screws.</p> |
