PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accounting processing apparatus capable of charging an amount of money dependent on any of vehicle model categories, which are finely classified, even when an installation space dependent on a maximum vehicle length cannot be preserved.SOLUTION: Included are a vehicle model discrimination apparatus 10 that discriminates a vehicle model category of a vehicle A, and an accounting communication processing apparatus 30 that performs communication processing for accounting with respect to onboard equipment α mounted in the vehicle A that has reached a predetermined position. When having acquired a result of vehicle model discrimination, which is provided by the vehicle model discrimination apparatus 10, on a stage of communication processing, the accounting communication processing apparatus 30 performs the communication processing for accounting with respect to the onboard equipment α on the basis of the result of vehicle model discrimination. When having not acquired the result of vehicle model discrimination on the stage of communication processing, the accounting communication processing apparatus performs the communication processing for accounting with respect to the onboard equipment α on the basis of a result of tentative vehicle model discrimination.
