A trailer for a two-wheeled vehicle, in particular for a bicycle, is provided with two wheels (3) connected to a support platform (1) and with a shaft (4) at whose front end a coupling element (9) for connection to the two-wheeled vehicle (10) is arranged. The shaft has a section (6) which leads laterally forwards and deviates from the longitudinal centre plane (7) of the trailer. The length and the direction of the shaft are selected such that its front end can be attached laterally or in the region of the rear wheel axle (11) of the two-wheeled vehicle (10) or to a two-wheel component (17), which is located laterally above the rear wheel axle, via the coupling element (9). The transport trailer can merely consist of a support rail (1), two wheels (3) and the shaft (4). <IMAGE>
