The invention relates to a system for in-vitro testing the transit effect through the human gastrointestinal tract, in two stages, in case of lactic bacteria strain and of lactulose. The claimed system provides for determining the viability of lactic bacteria by separately simulating the conditions of each segment of the digestive system, namely, in a first stage, the stomach and small intestine and, in a second stage, the colon. During the first stage there are achieved the in-vitro simulation system, the medium at the stomach level, the simulation of the transit between the stomach and the small intestine, the testing of the pancreatin and biliary salts effect at the intestinal level, the simulation of absorption, the determination of microbial viability, determination of the ratio between the used strains. The second stage comprises the simulation of colon microflora by a continuous fermentation of 46 hours, the simulation of the conditions in the ascending, transverse and descending colon, and the microbiological analysis with a view to establishing the ratio between the different groups of microorganisms. |
