PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for an alkaline battery excellent in discharge capacity.SOLUTION: An electrode for an alkaline battery includes: a collector foil; a first alloy layer provided to be in contact with the collector foil and including a first hydrogen adsorbing alloy having a hexagonal crystal CaCutype crystal structure; and a second alloy layer provided to be in contact with the first alloy layer and including a second hydrogen adsorbing alloy having a body-centered cubic crystal structure. In the electrode for an alkaline battery, 0.12≤B/(A+B)≤0.42 is satisfied where A represents the thickness of the first alloy layer and B represents the thickness of the second alloy layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
