<p>The invention relates to a roof bolt consisting of a flexible steel rope (1) which can be anchored in the borehole (2) and has a metallic end piece at the end projecting from the borehole (2). The metallic end piece is rigidly connected to the steel rope (1) and serves to support the rock forces acting on the roof bolt. In order to design the connection between the steel rope (1) and the end piece in such a roof bolt in a simple manner in such a way that the exceptionally high tensile strength of the steel rope (1) can be fully utilised, the invention proposes that the end piece consist of a steel sleeve (5) pressed in the cold state onto the end of the steel rope (1), the length and the wall thickness of the sleeve (5) as well as the strength of the cold-worked steel being matched to one another in such a way that the retaining force of the sleeve (5) exceeds the breaking load of the steel rope (1). <IMAGE></p> |
