<p>The beacon sheet (16) for a beacon stand (10) has a plane sheet body (17) which is provided at least on its front side with a covering or a coating, usually in the form of a foil (23) with given colouring. The sheet body (17) is made from glass fibre-reinforced plastic which preferably consists of a polyester with a glass-fibre content of at least approximately 25%. Such a beacon sheet is highly elastic. It can be designed, at its end which is situated at the top in the installed position, with an additional surface (22) which reaches beyond the standardised sheet size and is preferably provided with a fluorescent coating or a fluorescent covering (23). As a result, a beacon sheet with high elasticity and at the same time with very low mass is on the whole produced, which, instead of conventional beacon sheets with a heavy lamp attached, helps to reduce the effects of collision accidents. <IMAGE></p> |
