For use together with different standard conductor, cable or conduit dimensions, an electrical connection box is configured with a lower part 1 with a bottom 2 and side walls 6 rising up from this and a top part 8 in the form of a cover with side walls, arranged against a ledge 11 on the side walls of the lower part 1. In the side walls 6 of the lower part 1 there is formed one or more sets 16 of parallel straight fracture lines 17-20, which extend from the bottom 2 perpendicularly up to the ledge 11 of the side walls. On the corresponding side wall the top part 8 is configured with essentially circular-arc fracture lines 21-23, so that in the assembled condition of the box it is possible to extrude blank sections in various sizes corresponding to each dimension of conductor, cable or conduit. By also configuring the top part with blank sections bounded by fracture lines 29-31 fitting, on the one hand, the standard configuration of electrical dimmers, circuit breakers and/or sockets, and on the other hand to feed through the conductors for overhead lights and the like, the box can find application as either a contact box or a ceiling rose for lamp installation. <IMAGE>
