Thermoplastic compositions based on polyphenylenether resins, endowed with improved mechanical, thermal and solvent-resistance characteristics, comprising, for 100 parts by weight of polyphenylenether resin:
<UnorderedLists id="ula01" listStyle="none"><ListItem>-from 0 to 90 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polymer otherthan polystyrene and incompatible with such resin, and</ListItem><ListItem>- from 1 to 90 parts by weight of a polymeric compatibility-promoting agent comprising one or more blocks of vinylaromatic monomeric units compatible with the polyphenylenether resin, and one or more blocks of unit monomers which are reactive with and/or of the same kind as or, in the polymeric state, compatible with the thermoplastic polymer, or compatible with such polymer.</ListItem></UnorderedLists>
