The tiled stove insert provided with a metal housing with a fire grate, loading opening and flue pipe for the flue gases contains in the upper part of the combustion space a heat exchanger consisting of two adjacent hollow bodies (8,9) functionally connected together and respectively having several concentrically spaced apart, interconnected, at least partially annular chambers (10,11) for the passage of a first heat exchange medium, and of annular or tubular passages (12), bounded by the chambers, for the flue gases. The heat exchanger of the tiled stove insert is preferably constructed from several individual segments, firmly connected together in the longitudinal direction, with a functional connection of the corresponding chambers (10,11) and annular or tubular passages (12) (Fig. 1). A considerable reduction of the flue gas temperature and a high utilisation of heat are achieved by the heat exchanger integrated into the tiled stove insert. <IMAGE>
