The bag, which consists of a composite material consisting of two covering films (2, 3) and an insulation (4) located between them, is made in the manner of a simple bag by edge welding of said composite film, a closing flap (9) being left which is provided in the edge region with eyes (11, 12) which, in the closed position, are flush with further eyes (13, 14) in the bag. A peripheral, continuous cord (15) is pulled through these eyes and, in the tightened state, presses the closing flap against the bag so that the lower edge of the bag can be pushed under the closing flap, when the bag has been folded together, and can be clamped firmly by said closing flap. As a result, the bag is reduced to half the height in the empty state. <IMAGE>
