Wood-protecting coating compsn. comprises (a) 0.001-15 (0.1-8) wt.% of a bioside which is organic solvent soluble, (b) 0.1-20 (1-12) wt.% of at least one solvent (pref. at least one sparingly evaporating solvent having an evapn. no. over 35 and an ignition temp. of over 30 deg. C), (c) 2-27 (3-23) wt.% of a middle and/or long oil drying alkyd resin (mixt.) (measured as solids), (d) 0.5-25 (1-15) pts. wt. (on 100 pts. wt. )c)) of at least one emulsifier (mixt.) (e), 0.1-7 (0.5-5) wt.% of at least one siccative and/or (in)organic pigment/dye, balance (e) water, except for novel ingredient (f) which is 0.5-10 (1-8) wt.% of a 16-20 (18) C unsatd. acid which is liquid at normal temps. |
