Such dehumidifiers usually have a tank with a filling which absorbs water vapour and are shut off from the outside air by a siphon which opens readily inwards and outwards. In order to prevent on the one hand wetting of the filling which absorbs the water vapour and on the other hand blowing out of sealing liquid (11), according to the invention labyrinth seals comprising baffle plates (18, 19) or a perforated disk (16) and a bell (12) are provided in the siphon, which seals capture entrained drops of the sealing liquid (11) and return them to the bottom of the siphon. This makes it possible to use relatively small dehumidifiers even in large installations, because even with relatively great flow rates of air in the dehumidifier and, in particular, in the siphon thereof, the function of the latter remains ensured and, in addition, wetting of the filling provided for the absorption of water vapour is reliably avoided. <IMAGE>
