The invention relates to a top spill plate for face conveyors in underground mining. The essential feature of this top spill plate is that it is a plate which is made of rubber or rubber-like plastic, is stiffened in the centre area by a spring-steel strip embedded all round and is bevelled on one side at the ends and at opposite sides.
