The invention relates to superinsulation which is at the same time used as a spacer between two surfaces which can be loaded in pressure, mutually crossing webs being provided in at least two layers, with the interposition of a film. The object according to the invention is to construct such superinsulation in such a manner that, on the one hand, it can absorb pressure forces and, at the same time, sufficiently limits the heat radiation and heat conduction, the overall heat flow intensity being limited to a few watts per square metre, at most. The solution is characterised in that the webs in each layer are parallel and are arranged running at an angle with respect to one another from layer to layer, and in that the crossing points of the webs of the various layers are located at fixed points and hence form contact columns. The basic idea according to the invention is accordingly that webs which are laid over one another such that they cross over are made use of to support the pressure force, so that contact columns are formed which are compressed to a certain extent when loaded.
