The subject of the invention is buried devices for storing heat and the method of construction of these. An underground heat store according to the invention comprises a compartment composed of a flexible and watertight thin envelope 2 which is surrounded by a thermally insulating coating 3 and which is filled with sand 4 saturated with water.
