Camshaft and a method for its production

摘要

Camshaft with a steel tube forming the shaft and with cam discs which are pushed onto the said tube, are connected integrally to it and the aperture surfaces of which rest against the steel tube and are metallic. To make manufacture cheaper, the cam discs and the steel tube are connected to one another from the inside of the latter by laser welding or laser soldering. For this purpose, a laser beam running in the direction of the axis of the steel tube is directed at a deflecting mirror situated in the inside of the tube and is deflected by the mirror towards the respective cam disc to be fixed.
