The subject of the invention is an anti-theft device. This device is composed of a metal support fixed to the floor of the vehicle; the said support 1 receives a metal frame 5 integral with the seat 6 and which slides on the said support 1; a worm, secured to the metal frame 5, rotates by means of the electric motor 8. This device comprises: - a control means 12 which is either the contact key 13, or a control button hidden in or outside the vehicle, or a coded keyboard 14, or a remote-control box which actuates a receiver; - a door contact which triggers the actuation of the anti-theft device; - a contact for returning the seat 6 to the initial position chosen by the user; - an electronic box which is powered by the battery 19 which receives the information and gives the orders.
