Hydraulic converter comprising three pistons 21 which move axially in three respective cylinders 20 which are parallel to each other. The pistons 21 are driven by pressure differences between their respective front and rear faces, which pressure differences are controlled by a cam 30 and by a control rod 24 characteristic of each piston. A distributor 13 ensures the supply and discharge of a receiving liquid, in a manner which is synchronised with the control of the cam 30. The pistons are out of phase by 120 DEG in their respective cycles of motion. <IMAGE>
