Rivet press for setting haberdashery function elements, such as press-stud parts, on backings

In a rivet press having an upper and a lower tool, haberdashery function elements are to be mounted on a backing using attachment elements. These elements are stored by type in conveying pots which serve as supply containers. By means of a vibrating unit, the containers are caused to vibrate and have sorting paths on which the elements travel along and are moved into a particular spatial orientation thereon in order finally to be moved from the conveying pots via a transporting rail to the upper or lower tool. For gentle treatment of the elements in the conveying pots, it is proposed to connect a sensor member, which responds to a particular minimum number of actuations of the rivet press per unit of time, to a switch arranged in the current supply of the vibrating unit, the sensor member causing the vibrating unit of the conveying pot to stop if the number of actuations drops below said minimum.
