The invention relates to a device for the individual dispensing of rolling elements, preferably toothpicks. The latter are arranged, for hygienic reasons, in closable storage space and can be individually withdrawn by a transporting roller and transported to a dispensing position. The transporting roller is driven by an electric motor in the supply circuit of which there is seated, inter alia, a circuit breaker which can be switched by the rolling element arriving in the dispensing position. Once this rolling element (toothpick) is withdrawn from the dispensing position, the electric motor is switched on again, so that a further toothpick is conveyed to the dispensing position.
