The pivoting fitting provided for the pivoting of frameless glass panes has a fixed fitting part (18) and a fitting part (20) attachable to the glass pane, which are mounted pivotably relative to one another by means of a pivot pin (16) engaging from one of the fitting parts (18) into a bearing bore (40) in the other fitting part (20). Additionally held so as to be longitudinally displaceable on the pivot pin (16) is a locking element (46) which is connected to the pivotable fitting part (20) so as to drive the latter in the pivoting direction. In one end position of the glass pane, the locking element (46) is supported on the fixed fitting part (18) in a raised position not impeding a pivoting movement. When the other end position is approached, the locking element moves out of its supported position into a position in which it is displaced, as a result of its own weight and/or the prestress of a spring, into a lowered position, in which it is locked on a lateral edge of the fixed fitting part. <IMAGE>
