The process serves to produce the self-supporting parts of a multi-storey prefabricated residential building by means of a set of structural elements which exhibits load-bearing prefabricated walls. The process is characterised by the following steps: the load-bearing prefabricated walls of a single storey are positioned in each case only as an exterior wall, in this storey, within the positioned exterior walls, there is fitted a steel frame with vertical load-bearing members and horizontal load-bearing members connected thereto. Thereafter, in order to complete this storey, the ends of the horizontal load-bearing members adjacent to the exterior walls are fixed on the prefabricated walls and, finally, without fitting any floors, the next storey up is mounted according to the preceding steps.
