The invention relates to a method for producing, from cattle cake of vegetable origin, a composition which can be used for animal feed production which consists in mixing the said cattle cake with lactoserum and with blood, in seeding the mixture using a yeast or fungus and leaving it to macerate until a pasty composition is obtained. The improvement consists in extruding the said pasty composition into strips or cylinders, like pasta, and in drying the extruded matter in hot air at approximately 40 DEG C.
