PURPOSE:To enable the rear side of a screen to be cleaned and provide a safer screen printer without moving a heavy printing head by allowing a printing head to be disengaged from a space in which a screen frame and a screen frame holder are opened/closed or moved up/down. CONSTITUTION:A printing head 3 prints a substrate under a screen frame while moving a squeegee 6a, 6b vertically and shutting back and forth inside the screen frame 4. If inadequate printing occurs, the printing head 3 is disengaged from the upper position of the screen frame 4 and a screen frame holder 5a, 5b by shifting the head 3 to the left as viewed from front. It is also so designed that only the screen frame 4 and the screen frame holder 5a, 5b may be opened. By allowing the printing head to be taken out of a space in which the screen frame and the screen frame holder are opened/closed or moved vertically, the screen frame and the screen frame holder can be moved up and down without being accompanied by the printing head.
