PURPOSE:To shorten the occupied time of a bus when reflecting the result of the edition of a picture to the original picture by an operator by providing a changeover means between a system memory and a CRT control part and disposing a picture density converting circuit at a prescribed position. CONSTITUTION:A multiplexer 14 is provided between the system memory 1 and the CRT control part 3. The multiplexer 14 is controlled and changed over from a CPU7, the memory 1 can be changed over to a path for making access to this memory through the bus 6 from the CPU7 and a path for directly transferring data between the memory and the control part 3 without bus 6. The picture density converting circuit 9 is inserted into the path for directly transferring the data between the memory 1 and the control part 3 without the bus 6. Thereby, the occupied time of the bus when reflecting the result of the edition of the picture by the operator to the original picture can be shortened.
