[Classes 78 (ii) and 78 (v)] [See also Group X] A balancing-device for sliding sashes comprises a spring-controlled cone pulley having twin grooves for the cords 5, 6, said pulley being traversed on a fixed screw-threaded shaft 1. The shaft 1 is preferably inclined so that the grooves are aligned with the cords. A second pulley may be provided at the righthand side or the sash-cord may be led over pulleys 8, 9, to that on the left. The tension of the spring is adjusted by worm and wheel 12, 11. |
