A tip-like device which operates without smoke to assist dehabituation from smoking is designed, in order to satisfy the increased compulsion to manual activity or urge to play experienced by the smoker to be dehabituated, as a thimble whose mouth end has air apertures and in whose inner space a sound generation device is arranged. The inner space of the thimble is preferably adapted to the shape of the tip of the human thumb and coated with raw leather. The sound generation device can have spring tongues in the manner of a mouthorgan or excited by mechanical plucking, or may be designed as an electronic sound generation device.
