With the new system, printing patterns can be applied in a precise position and virtually without distortion to level and flexible printing silks (1). The latter are then fitted in a precise position in a flat clamping or pressure frame (8) or on a rotary printing cylinder, clamped without any distortion and evenly tensioned over their entire width. Next, a rectangular, flat, flexible and porous printing silk is reinforced at two ends by two stiffening members (2) attached in a distortion-free manner and preferably by bonding, and is secured to these in two clamping systems (9, 11) having a uniform effect over their entire length, and of which one (9) is firmly connected to the printing frame (8) or a printing cylinder, whereas the other (11) is supported movably and can be controllably tensioned by a clamping device (13-15). The printing-silk (1) is provided, in each stiffening member (2), with two locating holes (3) which can be inserted over each of the two locating pins (10) of the clamping systems (9, 11). |
