摘要 PURPOSE:To provide an alloy which is advantageous in respect of weight and resources as compared with high-Ni alloys and has superior strength, corrosion resistance, etc., reliable even under the severe oil-well environment, by adding specific amounts of platinum-group elements to an alpha-type or (alpha+beta)-type Ti alloy. CONSTITUTION:The Ti alloy has a composition in which 0.02-0.20%, by weight, of one or more elements among platinum-group elements are added to the alpha-type or (alpha+beta)-type Ti alloy. Further, 0.05-2.00% of one or more elements among Ni, Co, W, and Mo can be added to the above Ti alloy. In this way, the alloy capable of maintaining superior corrosion resistance even under the severe corrosive environment can be obtained. Moreover, since the amounts of the alloying elements to be added are extremely small, durability to the oil-well environment can be remarkably improved practically causing no adverse effect on the mechanical properties and heat treatment characteristics of the alloy in an additive-free state.
