PURPOSE:To attain the service attended with talking such as restriction of call and collection of charge by providing a magnetic card reader to a telephone set, converting the information of a card read from a magnetic card reader into a PB signal, and sending the result to a station. CONSTITUTION:A telephone set main body 1 is provided with a card reader 5, a CPU 2, a card reader interface 4 and a selection signal sending circuit 7. A caller loads the card into the magnetic card reader 5. The information of card read by the magnetic card reader 5 is sent to the CPU 2 via the card reader interface 4 and subject to analysis processing, converted into a PB signal and sent to an exchange 12 of the station through a network 8 from a PB sender 6. The exchange 12 references a data base 13 based on the information of the received card, analyzes the individual information and sends a dial tone to the caller when the dialing is enabled. Thus, various services attended with talking are offered.
