PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency with a multiple file continuous converting device by providing a layout information file which can retrieve and refer to plural types of file converting condition data based on the file names. CONSTITUTION:A multiple file continuous converting device consists of a card reader 1 which inputs the converting condition data, a magnetic tape 2 storing an old file, a magnetic disk 3 which stores a new file, a layout information file and a JCL file, a printer 4 which outputs a check list for various processes related to the file conversion, a processing part 5, and an operating part 6. A production means for the file layout information file, etc., inputs the converting condition data via the reader 1 and outputs the file layout information file or the JCL file to the disk 3. Then a production means for new files inputs the old file via the tape 2 and outputs the new file to the disk 3 respectively.
