PURPOSE:To detect the unevenness, color tone difference, etc., of the surface of the somatic cavity and a change to a morbit state under the mucous membrane by providing an in-body lighting means and a transmission lighting means for lighting from outside the body and obtaining an endoscope image under lighting body both means. CONSTITUTION:This endoscope device consists of an electronic endoscope 2, an endoscope controller 6 which incorporates the in-body light source part 3 where the rear end side of the endoscope 2 is connected and a signal processing part 4 and is provided with an out-body light source part 5, and a monitor 7 which inputs a video signal from the controller 6 and displays an endoscope image. Then in-body lighting 3 is provided in time series within a formation unit period of one image to obtained a reflection image of the internal wall of a living body ad lighting 5 from outside the body is also provided in synchronism with the in-body lighting 3 to obtain a transmission image of the living body. Consequently, image information on the surface deep part of the body is obtained together with image information on the unevenness and color tone in the body.
