PURPOSE:To facilitate the work for excising a cover at the upper part of a mounting part by forming a flange in a body, which prevents a mounting part from getting out from a round groove in the mounting part set in the round hole, in a grommet which closes the round hole bored in a dush panel, etc. CONSTITUTION:A grommet 1 has a cylinder 2 whose one end is closed with a cover 3 and a relatively thick ring-shaped mounting part 4 which is formed in a body at the other end of this cylinder 2 into an outward turn-up shape. This mounting part 4 is engaged with a round hole 8 which is bored in the dush panel 7 of the car body at the engaging groove 5 formed in its periphery. And a holder 6 in approximately half cylinder shape is erected vertically at the outward margin of the cover 3 of the cylinder 2. In this case, a flange 11 projected outward and nearly rectangular is formed in a body at one outward margin of the mounting part 4 which is corresponding to the position where the holder 6 is formed. Hereby, the mounting part 4 is prevented from getting off from the round hole 8 when cutting the cover 3 while pulling the holder 6 after cutting the lower margin of the cover 3 with a knife.
