PURPOSE:To obtain a polyphenylene ether resin composition having excellent solvent cracking resistance, etc., by compounding a polyphenylene ether with a copolymer containing three components comprising a polyphenylene ether, an olefin polymer and an aromatic vinyl polymer. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. of a polyphenylene ether having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.01-5dl/g (at 30 deg.C in chloroform) is compounded with (B) 0-400 pts.wt., preferably 0-350pts.wt. of an aromatic vinyl polymer, (C) 1-400pts.wt., preferably 5-380pts.wt. of a block copolymer and/or graft copolymer containing 5-95wt.%, preferably 10-90wt.% each of a polyphenylene ether, an olefin polymer and an aromatic vinyl polymer, (D) 0-400pts.wt., preferably 5-380pts. wt. of a polyolefin and, if necessary, (E) 1-1,000pts.wt., preferably 5-800pts.wt. of an inorganic or organic filler.
