PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled pipe having accurate hole positions and a prominent profile by making holes in parallel with the length direction of a columnar billet and using a composite billet of which the holes are packed with rod material and glass powder. CONSTITUTION:The holes are made in the direction of the length of the columnar billet 1 and packed with the rod material 2 and the glass powder 9 to form the composite billet 3. This billet 3 is heated and inserted into a container 5, hot extrusion is carried out by passing a die 7 by a stem 6 to remove the rod material 2 and the glass from an extruded material 8. When the holes of the composite billet 3 are packed with the rod material 2 and the glass powder 9 and heated to make a hot extrusion, the glass becomes fluid in the composite billet 3 but the fluid glass resists the deforming pressure of the billet to obtain the extruded stock 8 which is uniformly packed with the glass in a rod shape. When the glass is fluid after hot extrusion, both ends of the extruded material 8 are opened to draw out the rod material 2 and make the glass flow out of the holes under pressure.
