PURPOSE:To attain many functions with a simple constitution by multiplexing in time division a video signal picked up and formed by a camera part with a reproduced video signal formed by a VTR part, and controlling the proportion of said multiplexing. CONSTITUTION:Corresponding to the levels of switch control signals SW from a control circuit 11, a switch circuit 10 outputs a luminance signal Y, color difference signals R-Y, B-Y supplied to its own input terminals (a)-(c), and also outputs a luminance signal Y, color difference signals R-Y, B-Y from the reproduction system of a VTR part supplied to also its own input terminals (d)-(f). These two video signals are outputted via a frequency multiplex circuit 51 and a change-over switch 33. The proportion between these two video signals in said time division multiplex is controlled by means of a switch control signal SW. In such a way, a special effect can be easily added to a reproduced output video signal.
