The joint (2) has tongues (5), with little space between them, profiled in their longitudinal direction to locate in a sprung fashion against the pipe. They are arranged in two layers, one radially outside the other, and are displaced in each layer relative to one another in a peripheral direction. The tongues in one layer are covered by those in an adjacent layer. The joint has a strip of plate or similar wound at least twice, and the tongue in one winding covers the intermediary space between its winding and the adjacent winding inside it. |
