PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance of a Cu-Te alloy by limiting the recrystallization treatment temp. of the alloy in an alloy working stage. CONSTITUTION:When a Cr-Te alloy consisting of, by weight 40-250ppm Te, <=20ppm O and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities is produced, an ingot is repeatedly subjected to recrystallization treatment and rolling to form stock and the recrystallization treatment is carried out in the temp. range of 200-390 deg.C or 680-950 deg.C. The heat resistance of the Cu-Te alloy utilized as a fin material for the radiator of an automobile or a lead frame material is improved and the deterioration of the performance by treatment at a high temp. can be prevented.
