PURPOSE:To enable an image corresponding to an input image signal of a different ratio of length/bredth to be recorded on a recording paper without requiring exchange of a motor and a gear by changing also a feed of a thermal recording paper by a constant stored in memory, by selecting a mode via a mode selection circuit according to the ratio of length/bredth of the input image signal. CONSTITUTION:An input image signal 1 is A/D converted with a signal processing circuit 2, and is stored as image information in memory 3. An address of memory 11 is selected by a selection circuit 10 corresponding to the input image signal, for instance, by operation of a switch. When a fixed period t1, and pulse generation time t2, t3 are stored in that address, a feed pitch of a motor is determined by selection of the address. By controlling a motor driver 5 via a microprocessor 4 in recording, a recording paper is sent through a motor 6 and a pinion gear 7, or a feed mechanism of a thermal recorder 8. A recording image corresponding to the input image signal of a different ratio of length/width can be obtained only by selection of the memory address. |
