PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance type proximity sensor with reduced false detection and a door handle using the sensor.SOLUTION: A capacitance type proximity sensor comprises: a first detection electrode 3; a second detection electrode 4 fixed in parallel with the first detection electrode 3; a first capacitance detection part 11 which detects a capacitance between the first detection electrode 3 and a detection target near a detection area; a second capacitance detection part 12 which detects a capacitance between the second detection electrode 4 and the detection target near the detection area; a difference detection part 13 which detects a difference value Vbetween an output of the first capacitance detection part 11 and an output of the second capacitance detection part 12; and a determination part 21 which determines whether the detection target is near by comparing a variation range of the difference value Vin a prescribed period with a threshold value. |
