This invention is an ammunition carrying system which continuously supplies ammunitions to a machine gun on a freely and successively rotatable positioner. A orientation device is arranged in the rotatable positioner between the gun and an ammunition box. A train of ammunition round carriers is passing through the orientation device from the ammunition box to the machine gun. Each ammunition round carrier is connected with the adjacent carriers by pivots rotatable without limit. The orientation device includes a rotatable plate to which a hollow cylinder is fixed. A cutout designed to pass the ammunition round carriers charged is provided inside the plate. The hollow cylinder is divided into upper and lower parts.
